It’s very easy to take life for granted. To assume that you are entitled to happiness because you once helped an old lady across the road or you let a white van out of a busy junction even though he was going to go regardless.
Some people more than deserve happiness. Some people go through life happy as larry; the life and soul of the party, never saying a bad word about anyone. And it’s these people that are chosen to experience pain.
The other half and I have been truly blessed with Dex. He’s a very wanted son, one that we craved for a very long time. He’s not a miracle baby or anything like that, just a slightly later than expected one. He’s a great baby too. Chilled and laid back like his Daddy, with a slight kooky personality……erm I don’t know where he gets that from…..
It pains me to see parents that don’t care about their children. Ones that will always class their children as mistakes. Ones that show no support or natural parenting skills. Ones that would rather spend their child benefit on a packet of cigarettes and a night out whilst they leave their child with the 9 year old babysitter. (This statement does not in any way reflect my coffee fund.) These are the types of families that appear on the dreaded Jeremy Kyle Show displaying to the country that yes, they are unfit parents and they seem to be proud of it.
My heart breaks when I see read about people not being able to conceive naturally, suffering miscarriages and losing babies at birth. To lose a child at any stage is cruel. These people have natural maternal instincts and you know without even trying they would make the best parents.
This post is dedicated to those babies not forgotten.
